Growing with inseroMat substrates

inseroMat is delivered dry, in a variety of forms. Hydration with water is instantaneous, providing an open moist structure ideal for seed germination and root growth. inseroMat products do not require rinsing and are ready-to-use - moisten with water, sow seeds directly onto the surface, germinate your seeds under optimum conditions, and grow your crop to the final desired size. Growers should apply their own nutrients for their specific crops as inseroMat is nutrient-free!

Variety of crops

Examples of crops grown on inseroMat include microleaf salads, wheat grass, garden cress, pea shoots, water cress, basils, radishes, mints, mustards, purple and green shiso, chives, spinach, chard, kale, and baby-leaf salads.

inseroMat rollstock

inseroMat rollstock is available with variable thickness, width and length and is used by professional growers and specialty producers for a wide range of applications. inseroMat rollstock has been used for growing various microleaf and babyleaf salads and pea shoots, both for indoor (hydroponic) and outdoor field applications. inseroMat is organic certified for use in on-field applications.

inseroMat sheets

inseroMat sheets are available with varying dimensions, usually unique for each specific grower. Pad thickness is chosen based upon the specific crop and requirements of the post-greenhouse distribution chain. A thicker pad is required for non- refrigerated distribution channels or where higher water holding capacity is required. Thin inseroMat sheets are available for use in indoor tray growing applications on (ebb & flood) benches or in gutters, where watering frequency is not a major concern.

inseroMat confetti

inseroMat confetti is used for a wide range of applications by professional and hobby growers. Confetti can be applied into containers either in dry form or pre-moistened with water or feed (for example, using a peat or soil mixer). inseroMat confetti has been used by professional growers to grow a wide range of microleaf salads, wheat grass and pea shoots.
